“Every tree and plant in the meadow seemed to be dancing, those which average eyes would see as fixed and still” (Rumi) I have synaesthesia, that is, I get strange taste sensations from some visual triggers. I chew liquorice every time I see a fly! I think this ‘extra’ sense affects the way I see and record life around me. In these works I am trying to convey the sensation of tiny sugar coated bubbles in my mouth experienced when looking at plants in the Spring and Summer sunshine.
